Beautiful Austria. Picturesque green fields, surrounded by rocky, snow topped mountain ranges. It is undoubtedly one of the most peaceful and naturally stunning places to visit in the world. My last visit to Austria was a cold, snowy stopover in Vienna whilst on a European tour. This time, with only 24 hours in Austria, we packed in two major towns, Innsbruck and Salzburg. Advertisements
What a month I have had! 36 days on the amazing MSC Orchestra cruise ship, following the path of our Anzac soldiers 100 years on. I had extremely limited internet access on board, so this is my first post in over 5 weeks, but I’m back online and ready to share some amazing stories. Firstly I just wanted to do a quick review of the cruise as a whole and the MSC Orchestra ship.
We may both speak English, but sometimes they seem worlds apart. Are you an Aussie heading to the US, or an American wanting to head down under? Well here’s some slang you might want to remember.
I can’t be the only person to have this on my bucket list. I finally got to live one of my ultimate dreams, to see the Grand Canyon via helicopter. It was the best 21st present from my dad. My family came to the states to see me for my birthday and this was definitely a highlight. Watch my video on it…
Whilst exploring the States, I often couldn’t help but compare certain places to parts of Australia. Of course every destination is unique, but I liked to observe similarities and thought it would be fun to share my thoughts on what parts of Australia are most similar to those in America.
Check out my little video from my weekend in my favorite city on this planet. It was my first weekend trip with friends from my college in New Jersey and I fell in love instantly.
Contiki tours are such a popular way to travel for most young Australians, especially when venturing to Europe. I have now been on two separate Contiki tours, one in Europe in 2013 and one in Mexico in 2014. Whilst they are fun ways to get around, I think it’s good to know about every aspect of the tour to see if it’s right for you.
Last year I got the opportunity to interview one of my idols. A girl that proves that dreams really do come true if you work hard enough to achieve them. Her personal travel blog has now turned into her full time career and she speaks to me about just how she got there.
Having traveled to so many other cities around the world, I seem to forget to truly appreciate my home city. So I decided to take a day off to explore Melbourne as I would in any other city; as a tourist. Armed with my iPhone 6 and a travelers attitude in mind, I took to the streets and grew to love Melbourne even more than I already did.
April 25th 2015 marks the 100 year anniversary of the treacherous day our Australian and New Zealand soldiers arrived in Gallipoli, Turkey to fight for our nations. Along with my father, his partner and my brother, we will embark on a 36 day cruise to commemorate the event. Leaving Perth, Australia, it follows the path our ANZACs took 100 years before us. Although I guarantee we will be doing it in a much more luxurious fashion.
