🌿 Cretya - @cretyaubud
- a multi layer pool club with rice terrace views. It’s the most lively day club in Ubud without being too crazy.

🌅 Cretya Sunset - @cretyasunset
- not to be confused with the original Cretya, this venue faces the sunset with rice field views and a much more chill vibe.

💧 Tlaga Singha - @tlagasingha
- stunning multi level pool with the bottom one being undercover with cool art features and a swim up bar. Chill vibe as it’s not very well known yet (I recently posted about their floating breakfast in a Reel if you want more info)

🍹 Alterntive Beach - @alternativebeach
- on Saturdays they have a really fun pool party with all day happy hour. It’s right in the heart of Canggu.

🏝️ Mari Beach Club - @maribeachclubbali
- stylish club with a lagoon style infinity pool and Balinese performances at sunset. Pretty chill vibes.

🏖️ Valle - @valle.bali
- a newish restaurant/cafe with day beds and a pool looking over some rice fields. Very relaxed atmosphere.

⛲️ Ritual - @ritualbali
- Cliff top restaurant and bar in Uluwatu with a pool and great sunset views.

⚓️ Tropical Temptation - @tropicaltemptation
- large venue with a few different pools, day beds and table options. Views of one of the nicest beaches in Bali and a pirate ship.

🪨 White Rock - @whiterockbeachclub
- just down from TT is this sleek and modern day club on the same stunning beach.

🌅 Sol Rooftop - @sol.rooftopbali
- rooftop venue in Pererenan with a pool, day beds, hammocks etc. usually pretty chill but they do host parties on the regular.

I always love finding quiet places amongst the chaos. A lot of Bali can be very busy but there are still so many areas to explore that are less discovered! With peak season approaching, definitely check these places out & save this to remember them.

Of all the pins on my Bali Google Map (minus the cafes/restaurants) I would say half of them are hidden gems like this. I have explored so many cool places that aren’t super touristy. Check it out through my Stan Store ☺️

💧 Campuhan Antapan Waterfall
- stunning cascading falls close to famous Leke Leke Waterfall but with next to no one there! I spent an hour here and just shared my time with a few local kids having a swim.

🌺 Morabito Art Cliff
- a new-ish rooftop venue that sits on the cliff in Bingin, Uluwatu. Stunning spot for dinner and/or drinks especially for sunset.

🐒 Sangeh Monkey Forrest
- if you want a less crowded monkey forrest with chill monkeys then this is the place to go. You get food included with your entrance ticket to feed them and the handlers can help you get some cool pics. They were climbing all over me but didn’t steal anything (except a piece of fruit I had in a pocket of my backpack 😂) and were not aggressive at all like in other areas.

🖼️ Sketsa 2D Cafe
- a really cute locally owned cafe. The local woman put so much effort into painting the space to look like a 2D house but she said no one comes 😢 definitely stop by and get a pic. It’s near Tabana & the iced matcha was incredible! and only 65c!!

💧 Manuaba Waterfall
- two waterfalls in a loop track that took around 45 minutes. You need to wade through the water in a canyon at one section. Super cool experience just north of Ubud and we only saw two other people the whole time.

☕️ Rooftop Coffee Bali - @rooftopcoffeecanggu_bali
- a tiny little rooftop cafe with beautiful rice terrace views, great coffee and crepes!

👙 La Boheme Canggu - @la_boheme_canggu
- a stunning and quiet pool club with a very low minimum spend ($12 for two). They also have a co-working space.

What would you visit first?

Floating breakfast you need to try in Bali 🥞🌿💧

This tropical river club is definitely a hidden gem. We went for breakfast and had the whole place to ourselves!

Entry for the pool area is 200k per person which includes a drink or you can purchase day beds for 300k for two people (and entry is included in any day bed or breakfast package).

The floating breakfast was such great value! It was 650k for the both of us and it came with four drinks, four full meals, a basket of pastries and plate of fruit! Safe to say we couldn’t finish it all and took our pastries with us for our driver ☺️ Such amazing value and it was such a nice morning.

Then downstairs they have an even more unique pool! It’s like an undercover cave pool with stunning architecture and artwork hanging from the ceiling. There was a dining area next to it and a swim up bar in the pool. This place would be amazing to spend an afternoon as well.

If beautiful beaches are what you’re most excited for during your trip to Bali, then Canggu, Seminyak & Kuta are going to be disappointing. The beaches are very average and can be littered with rubbish. But these areas excel in other areas with the best pool clubs, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. You really don’t come to this area for the white sand & turquoise waters.

Here are some of my favourite beaches in Bali & which areas they are in so you can plan your holiday.
