Firstly I’ll share some more general information about where to find waterfalls in Bali.
Where are the best Bali waterfalls?
The best regions to see waterfalls are Munduk, Ubud & Sidemen. Highlighted or circled in red above.
Munduk is in the north of the island and has the highest and most dramatic waterfalls that are not often busy or crowded.
Surrounding central Ubud you can find some gorgeous smaller waterfalls, but they are really busy as Ubud is a very popular place to visit. In saying this you still can find lesser known waterfalls with way less crowds too.
Sidemen is a smaller town east of Ubud. It sits in the mountains and has some lovely waterfalls with less crowds.
Below I will share small descriptions for all 101 waterfalls & more in Bali by region.
Ubud Waterfalls
Ubud is the cultural capital of Bali with many temples, holy sites, cultural performances, yoga, hiking, shopping, dining and the famous Ubud Monkey Forrest. It is a must visit destination when visiting Bali for many reasons including the gorgeous waterfalls. Below is a list of all of the waterfalls that are surrounding Ubud and short descriptions of each.
1. Skcript Waterfall
This small waterfall is in town but can dry up in the dry season so best to visit after some rainfall. There is a restaurant right by it called Layana Warung, with gorgeous views of the waterfall. Skcript Waterfall is easily accessible, just off the road and also free. There are stairs leading right down to the waterfall but there is nowhere to swim.
2. Bandung Watertfall
Also known as Rainbow Waterfall. It’s an artificially made waterfall but really beautiful and not well known. It’s a quick and easy walk down. This waterfall is included in a guided hidden waterfalls tour.
Price: 20k entry and a quick easy walk down.
3. Tibumana Waterfall
One of the most easily accessible waterfalls in Bali. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the falls from the car park and not too crowded. Especially if visiting early morning, you can have the place to yourself. You can also visit this spot on a guided tour that visits the most popular waterfalls around Ubud.
Price: 20k IDR entry.
4. Taman Sari Waterfall
Very close to Tibumana you can find Taman Sari Waterfall. I would suggest going after Tibumana as this waterfall is rarely busy. A nice spot to have a swim and there are a few vantage spots for photos and you can go right up next to the top waterfall. Once paying at the parking area, you cross the road and then walk for only a few minutes to access the falls.
Price: 20k entry fee.
5. Goa Rang Reng Waterfall
Cascading stream down rocks. It’s only a short 10 minute walk down from the parking area.
Price: 20k entry. You can pay extra for a private tour (around 200k) and visit some more hidden waterfalls, a cliff jumping spot and swing.
6. Abangan Waterfall
Just a short walk to a pretty unknown waterfall. Steep steps so take care going down.
Price: 20k entry fee and guides there will walk you down and take your photos for tips.
7. Kanto Lampo Waterfall
An absolutely beautiful, wide, cascading falls only a short 10-15 minute walk down from the parking area but with a lot of stairs. Probably one of the most beautiful in Bali but unfortunately it is super busy which can ruin the experience. Due to being so photogenic, locals are there to take gorgeous photos of you for a tip (around 50-100k per person is good). But be prepared to wait for up to an hour or even longer in peak times as it gets very busy. So this is a spot you definitely want to visit as early as possible.
You can visit this waterfall on a guided tour as well.
Photography tip for Kanto Lampo
If you can get here early, set your camera up on a tripod (in waist deep water in some spots) and use a long exposure. Or you can even use a shorter long exposure setting whilst holding your camera very steady. Both of these photos above were taken on iPhone though. Make sure you take your iPhone photos with ‘Live’ turned on. Then you can change the photo to a long exposure photo using the drop down menu. Just make sure to stay very still (both whoever is taking the photo and whoever is in it) so you’re not blurred.
How to edit your Kanto Lampo photo
If you are too blurry in the photo you can use Photoshop to superimpose the still version of you onto the long exposure background. If you don’t know how to use Photoshop, don’t worry you can also do this on your iPhone with just Instagram. This may also work for Android users but I am unfamiliar with their systems.
Save a copy of the long exposure photo version and keep the copy where you’re body is in focus. Open the long exposure one into your Instagram Stories. Then go to the photo where you are clear and hold your finger on your body. It should select your body and give you an option to copy. Then go straight back to Instagram and paste it and move it to the correct position. Viola.
Price: Entry is 20k.
8. Sumampan Waterfall
Hidden gem of a waterfall. It’s not very busy and a beautiful spot with the waterfall surrounded by jungle and locally made statues. The walk down is short but has some steep stairs to get to the bottom of the falls so take extra care. This waterfall is included in a guided hidden waterfalls tour.

9. Uma Anyar Waterfall
Cascading falls into a river. The skinny road that leads down to the falls from the main road is only suitable for walking or scooters.

10. Tegenungan Waterfall
Very popular and large waterfall south of Ubud. It’s a short, steep but well maintained walk down from the car park with a quite a lot of stairs. Find many photo opportunities with viewpoints and art structures. There is also a small holy spring you can bathe in.
Here you will also find a pool, bar and restaurant overlooking Tegenungan Waterfall called Omma Day Club. Book a day pass and use code: WANDERLUSTKLOOK for 10% off. If beach clubs are your vibe, you can check out the 13 best day clubs in Bali.

12. Pengempu Waterfall
To get to Pengempu Waterfall you need to go down 191 stairs and a track that is not very well maintained. It can be only a small stream of water so it’s best best to see after rain or in the wet season. A quiet spot that’s also free entry.
13. Manuaba Waterfall
Circular loop track which includes two waterfalls. You can swim at the second one and then you need to walk through a river canyon to continue the walk which was quite unique. The walk takes 30-45 minutes and can be steep in parts with mud steps.

Hidden gem with less crowds. You can join a tour that visits this waterfall as well as the Ubud Monkey Forrest, a coffee plantation, rice terraces and a water temple.

15. Air Terjun Kuning
This is apparently closed due to the bridge collapsing. From reviews it seems some people can still make their way down there but it will be dangerous so I would not recommend it. Take extreme precaution or wait until the track down has been rebuilt.
Usually you can see two waterfalls here, one being quite high and down a cliff. You have to walk through canyons and rivers in some parts.
Price: 20k entry when open.
16. Dedari Waterfall
Two small waterfalls (one tall and one shorter one) and a cool bridge. The entry road is quite skinny so if you are visiting by car, park on the main road near the temple.
Price: 10k entry.
Sidemen Waterfalls
Moving east to Sidemen, a small town in the hills to the east of the island. This cosy village is more of what I pictured Ubud would be like, as Ubud is a very busy city nowadays. Sidemen still feels rural, authentic and quaint. These are the waterfalls you can find in the area.
17. Aan Secret Waterfall
A hidden gem and off the beaten track experience. Walk through flower fields, jungle, rivers and slot canyons to access two separate waterfalls.
No entry fee to visit but donations are welcome to help the local owner maintain the area.
18. Tirai Air Terjun Tukad Unda
Man made two tier waterfall from a dam that feeds into a river so there are spots for swimming. It is in the town of Semarapura. Maybe not the most exciting waterfall but worth checking out if you’re in the area.
19. Gembleng Waterfall
Gembleng is a long cascading waterfall with a few rock pools in some sections and amazing views out over the jungle and hills There are stairs to walk up and down beside the long waterfall. The falls can flow with a lot of water after rain.

20. Goa Giri Campuhan Waterfall
Several stunning cascade waterfalls in the jungle. They can sometimes dry up if it hasn’t rained in a while. Not many tourists visit so there aren’t any modern facilities but its nice and quiet. The walk down takes around 25 minutes through rice terraces.

21. Krisik Waterfall
Not the biggest waterfall, but situated in a canyon where you have to wade through water to get there. Off the beaten path and not many tourists here.

Tall waterfall in a sheltered cave. There’s also a man made wading pool next to it. Takes around 10-15 minutes to walk down the stairs and across bridges to the falls.
Price: 25k entry fee.
24. Tukad Cepung Waterfall
A large waterfall inside a cave with an open top. Around 100 pretty steep stairs down to access the waterfall. Not too busy but getting more popular so if you want to have fewer crowds go earlier. Walk from the car park takes about 20 minutes.
For photographers: arrive early before the crowds but not too early that the sun is too low in the sky. You can get some great shots with sunlight filtering through the top of the cave.
Toilets and changing rooms available. Shops and restaurants around. One of the waterfall tours from Ubud includes Tukad Cepung.
Price: 30k entry.

Access this waterfall through a river and canyon. Really beautiful and lesser known spot. No fee to enter but donations welcome and recommended.

Man made waterfall coming off a dam just off the main road coming out of Sidemen. Come from the main road and find a short trail down to the falls.

Popular stop on many white water rafting tours. Hard to find the track down to the falls on your own, but access through a local farm is possible with a donation to the farmer.
28. Batu Engsel Waterfall
A small and very hard to find waterfall in a skinny canyon. Climbing over rocks is required but many who try to visit do get lost. It would be best to hire a local guide in Gegelang village to show you the way.\
29. Air Terjun Jagasatru
Quiet and tall waterfall via a short path & a few stairs. No entrance fee but donation box is there and recommended to donate roughly 20k per person.
30. Air Terjun Yeh Labuh Waterfall
Very quiet and not well known falls. Small but tall stream down a rockface. No entry fee but a donation box. Similar waterfall to nearby Jagasatru.
Central Bali Waterfalls
In the centre of Bali you can also find a few scattered waterfalls around Jatiwulih & Pelaga. For a glamping experience in the jungle so you’re within a few minutes to half an hour to a few of these waterfalls, check out Pelaga Eco Park.
You can also travel to these areas from Ubud, Canggu or Seminyak in usually an hour or two and make a day trip of visiting a few of them.
31. Nungnung Waterfall
Popular tall & powerful waterfall in a jungle setting with with over 500 stairs that are quite steep in some parts. It takes around 20-25 minutes each way with reasonable fitness level. Could be longer for those with injuries or poor health as the stairs are quite challenging.
Price: 25k entry.
32. Langgahan Waterfall
Rough road getting down here and this spot is a little out of the way so make sure you are confident in getting yourself there and back. Do this either on a scooter or park on the main road and walk down. Enjoy the swimming spot below the cascading falls that sit on vegetation instead of the usual rock face which gives it a distinct look. You can visit Pelisan Waterfall as well at the same spot.
Price: 20k entry including Pelisan Waterfall.
33. Pelisan Waterfall
Cascading falls in a very secluded and quiet spot. You should have this spot to yourself.
Price: 20k entry including Langgahan Waterfall.
34. Batulantang Waterfall
Quiet waterfall not known to many people yet and about a 10-15 minute walk each way. There are three ways to enter:
1. Find ‘Batulantang waterfall parking’ on Google Maps, theres a skinny road for motorcycles only and parking down there. 25k entry fee.
2. Find ‘Goa Gong Waterfall’ on Google Maps. This is the same waterfall they just have several names for it. Paved road down to the falls, bigger parking area (but still limited) for cars. 25k entry.
3. Find ‘Auman Waterfall’ on Google Maps which is the entrance to Pelaga Eco Park. They have a track on their property to the falls so enjoy a meal at their restaurant and they will show you the way. Their trail was a little over grown when I was there but still easy to navigate.
35. Campuhan Antapan Waterfall
Quiet, lesser known waterfall and an absolute hidden gem. It’s only a minute walk from the car or scooter parking area and it’s very close to the next waterfall so definitely worth doing both. There is a stream for swimming next to it and a swing and photo area.

36. Leke Leke Waterfall
Super photogenic skinny waterfall in a crevice that isn’t too busy, especially early morning. Roughly 30 minutes walk there and back with a few stairs and bridges. 40. Sing Sing Angin Waterfall
Small rocky waterfall. No entry fee but there’s a donation box. Isn’t very well maintained but a nice and rugged adventure with no other tourists around usually. Be careful as some spots are slippery.
41. Sade Waterfall
Expect a 10-20 minute walk with great views to this small unknown waterfall. The path down can be hard to find but ask the locals. The waterfall is even stronger and more beautiful after rainfall.
42. Air Terjun Juwuk Manis
Quiet and secluded waterfall with lots of stairs (800+) which takes around 20 minutes each way. Find the trail in the village on the main road.
Price: Buy a ticket from the little store opposite the trail head (5k) or use the donation box.
43. Blemantung Waterfall
The main and largest one of a few waterfalls at this spot and super impressive when there is significant water flow. Really high and skinny waterfall. There is another small waterfall close by that is easier to walk to and another which is difficult so I would not recommend it. If coming from the top the stairs can be a little dangerous so best to drive a scooter to the other entrance by the bottom.
44. Blahmantung/Yeh Getas Waterfall
Decent sized and lesser known waterfall down a 1km trail that takes about 15 minutes each way. Not deep enough for swimming. The road in can be rough or slippery so be careful when driving in.
Price: 15k donation.
North Bali Waterfalls
Northern Bali is a mountainous region with the tallest and most dramatic waterfalls. The best areas to stay include Munduk, Wanagiri (which can be a better area for accommodation options but is only a 5-10 minute drive away from Munduk), Gitgit and Sekumpul.
45. Munduk Waterfall
A medium sized cascading falls, only a short walk down some stairs from the entrance. The entrance sits on a bend in the road. Scooters can park in this entrance but there is a larger car park across from it for cars and it’s free parking.
Here you can also start the hiking path to Golden Valley Falls and then onto Red Coral, Belong, Labuan Kebo and Melanting.
Price: 20k IDR entry.
46. Golden Valley
Next along the valley is this quiet and lesser known waterfall with a nice local cafe next to it. You can turn left at Munduk Waterfall and follow a trail up hill then it comes down to Golden Valley. We actually got a bit lost as there was a crossroads with multiple paths and we didn’t know which to choose. We ended up going down one path that lead to a local home and then a young girl led us the correct way and we gave her a tip so she was happy.
There is no entry fee but donations welcome in the donation box to help with maintenance. It’s a 15 minute walk down from the road if you come from there as well. Just follow the signs to the Eco Cafe.
You can continue from Golden Valley Waterfall to Red Coral Waterfall then Labuhan Kebo then Melanting Waterfall and then you can continue on to Munduk village. It is a long trek so you can also break them up into two days and focus on Munduk & Golden Valley one day then the others the next.
47. Belong Waterfall
A very quiet and smaller waterfall with a unique curve to it. Worth a stop on your way to Red Coral Waterfall. Park at Melanting Cottages and it’s about a 10 minute walk from there.
You will only pass this waterfall if you park at Melanting Cottages and visit Red Coral from there or if you do the full loop track and circle back after Melanting & Small Waterfall.
Price: 20k entry fee paid close to the falls plus small parking fee.
48. Red Coral Waterfall
Beautiful, tall and strong stream on vine covered rock. Beautiful and not too busy especially if you come early morning. I suggest parking at Melanting Cottages and it’s around a 15-20 minute walk from the car park if you go direct. Or longer if you stop at Belong Waterfall on the way down.
You can hike to Golden Valley Waterfalls from here but it will be mostly uphill. Then you can continue on to Labuhan Kebo Waterfall and Melanting. I suggest if you want to do all of the waterfalls in Munduk Valley in one day to start at Munduk. Otherwise I suggest breaking them into two days as mentioned above.
Price: 45k entry fee plus parking at the Cottages. You pay for entry to the falls right as you approach the falls.
49. Labuan Kebo Waterfall
Next stop is a very quiet but beautiful waterfall surrounded by jungle. It’s very enchanting when the morning light filters through the trees.
Price: 20k entry fee at an office just off the hiking path before you walk down the stairs.and short walk down to this quieter waterfall. You can access the other waterfalls close by as well (Melanting, Belong, Red Coral & Golden Valley).
50. Melanting Waterfall
Melanting was the last major waterfall we visited on the loop track in Munduk which visits seven waterfalls in total (though we broke it into two days).
From Labuan Kebo the trek down involved lots of stairs. If you start the loop here then that means those stairs are going up and would be pretty difficult. Ending the loop here, when you want to leave you climb up some stairs and then come to a path and there are no signs to know which way is better to go. If you go left this track loops all the way back to Belong Waterfall. Maybe turning right on that path would get you to the main road instead, but unfortunately it’s unclear.
If you just want to visit this waterfall alone, you can come down a path from the main road. It’s not too busy here even in the middle of the day and a really high and beautiful falls.
Price: 20k entry
51. Small Waterfall
Turning left when leaving Melanting to finish the loop track will take you past this small waterfall. Aptly named. The track is not paved to get here, you’re climbing through the jungle but you can still make out the path and it isn’t dangerous. Nothing crazy spectacular but a nice find in the midst of the jungle.
52. Banyumala Twin Waterfall
Stunning, tall and popular waterfall with a pool at the bottom for swimming. There is also another smaller waterfall next to it. Go early (before 10am) to avoid the crowds. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk down or you can pay for scooters sometimes to drive you part way down. They don’t take you all the way as there are stairs for the last part.
Price: 50k entry + 25k per scooter ride.
53. Canging Waterfall
A small waterfall and camping area by it called Canging Green Camp. If arriving by car, there is a parking area and then you need to walk 1km. It is connected to Dedari Waterfall and Cemara Waterfall. The trail to all the falls is un marked and un paved so it can be hard to navigate. Best to take a guide.
You can add these three waterfalls onto your guided tour that also visits Aling-Aling, Kroya etc. from Sambangan Secret Garden (details below).
Price: 20k for three waterfalls.
54. Dedari Waterfall
Locals call this waterfall Dedari (which means angel) because it used to be an ancient bathing place still believed to leave you looking younger. Dedari is located close to Cemara and Canging Waterfalls so you can see them all at once but best to go with a guide.
Price: 20k for three waterfalls.
55. Cemara Waterfall
The third waterfall in this trio.
Price: 20k for three waterfalls.
56. Wanagiri Pucak Manik Waterfall
Lesser known area with 3-4 waterfalls (one depending on recent rainfall) including one you can swim in and lots of spots for photos. 15 minute walk down with 400 steps that can be steep in some areas but are well maintained. The road in is also steep and not in the best condition.
Price: 20-50k entry (mixed reviews)
57. Twin Waterfall Wanagiri
Two strong waterfalls streaming side by side down a rock face. There is also a smaller cascading bonus falls close by as well. Untouched and quiet with not many tourists around, most of the time you will have this place to yourself. The concrete road turns into a dirt track you can walk down for 1km or you can pay a local driver 30k to drive you down if they are around. You can also camp there at the camping ground.
Price: donation for entry to help with maintenance.
58. Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfalls
Four waterfalls in the one area. You can walk the track for around 20-30 minutes to access the first fall and then around 15 minutes walk between the others. It will take you no less than 2 hours to see them all if walking. You can also pay for a local to drive you down on scooters which will cost around 50k.
Spray Waterfall is the biggest (picture 1), then there is One Waterfall (that can be just a trickle during dry season) and some cascading falls next to that (picture 2) and then also Two Waterfall. This track to Two Waterfall was closed for a while but may be re-opened now.
Price: 40k entry.
59. Git Git Twin Waterfall
Quiet waterfall with the same name as the taller falls further up the road in Gitgit. Short paved walk down to the two falls and a nice area to swim. There are swings and photo spots as well.
Price: Donation or about 20k entry.
60. Gitgit Waterfall
A popular and impressive high waterfall. Find ‘Gitgit Waterfall’ on Google Maps for the entrance on the main road. Well maintained path down and some stairs. There are guides there that try to charge to take you down but it’s up to you.
Price: 45k entry.
61. Jembong Waterfall, Ambengan
Beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Road in/out is a little narrow so drive carefully or if in a car it may be best to park somewhere safe and walk.

This tall and gorgeous waterfall is inside Sambangan Secret Garden. There are multiple waterfalls in one park.
Aling-Aling is around a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance. There is a beautiful bridge to cross and then some stairs down but there are railings.
Price: Entry is 25k per person. If you wish to swim and jump into the pools off platforms you need to go with a guide. The price is 125k per person for this. You can also pay extra to go to an additional three waterfalls that are a little further away. Doing this may take up most of the day.
63. Kroya Waterfall
Inside Sambangan Secret Garden is this fun, medium sizes waterfall that acts as a natural waterslide with a drop at the end. It’s quite steep but a guide must take you up to start the slide and you wear a life jacket for extra protection. There is also a jumping platform facing the waterfall which is fun too!
Price: Entry is 25k but if you wish to do the slide (highly recommend) and jumping platforms you need to pay for a guide which costs 125k. This includes life jackets. The guides will also help you take photos and videos.
64. Kembar Waterfall
One of the waterfalls/swimming holes in Sambangan Secret Garden with a jumping platform next to the waterfalls. There are actually two falls right next to each other here and you can swim right up to them and get some amazing photos.
Price: 25k entry or 125k minimum if you wish to swim/jump in the pools or go down the natural water slide.
65. Pucuk Waterfall
The third waterfall in a line of them with Kroya, Kembar just before them. There is a high jumping platform next to the small waterfall with a large swimming hole. Part of the Sambangan Secret Garden.

66. Air Terjun Tembok Barak
Small lesser known waterfall and a great spot to swim. Only a five minute walk down a paved track to get here.
Price: 20k entry.
67. Air Terjun Padangbulia
Very off track, hard to find so maybe best to go with a local guide. No fee as the area isn’t really established for tourists but if you’re an experienced hiker and familiar with similar outdoor conditions and want a challenge then this could be fun.
68. Tirta Buana Waterfall
A lesser known waterfall with a short path to access but be cautious on the road down as it is a dirt track and not well maintained (especially dangerous after rain).
Price: Entry fee should be 30k but heard of locals blocking the road and trying to get more money so be wary.
69. Bembengan Waterfall
Off the beaten path waterfall, with unpaved paths with signage. Best to visit after rain or during wet season.
70. Sekumpul Waterfall
Incredible double waterfall with really high streams and cliffs of jungle surrounding. You now have to visit with a guide. Unfortunately locals have stopped people going without one and want to make money for their villages so just be aware of this when visiting.
Price: Starting at 200k, you get entry to the two main waterfalls or you can pay extra to go to additional spots nearby (such as the Lumukih Water Slide, Fiji Rice Terraces and swim spot).
The guides also drive you down the narrow roads to the start of the stairs and paths. They will also help you take photos. The shortest trip will take you 2-3 hours.
If you need a guide for your trip that are so lovely and take the best photos and videos, then please find @cawis_87 or @agus_candra123 on Instagram.
71. Fiji Waterfalls

72. Hidden Waterfall
Just a few minutes down a gorge from the main Sekumpul waterfall you can find this hidden gem. Worth the walk and wading through water.
73. Waterslide Lemukih
Fun natural waterslide. The road to this spot is very skinny. If you’re a confident scooter rider you can drive yourself or walk from the closest main road. This spot can also be included in your Sekumpul guided tour for the day (see Sekumpul waterfall pin) or a local will offer to take you here for an additional fee (usually around 100k for entry and ride there & back).

Large waterfall down rock face. 20k entry and a short 15-20 minute walk to the falls.
79. Singsing Waterfall
Lesser known area with two waterfalls. Can be little to no water in the dry season. One waterfall is harder to access and there are local guides that will take you to the second waterfall for around 100k.
Or you can go to the Sing Sing resort and pay for lunch then they can show you to a staircase that goes down to the second falls. The stairs are overgrown with weeds though.
Jembrana Waterfalls
Rounding out the waterfalls is a few from this remote and much less explored area of Bali. Sitting on the western peninsula, this mountainous region has a very local feel.
80. Air Terjun Juwuk Manis
Quiet and secluded waterfall with lots of stairs (800+) & 20 minutes walking each way. Find the trail in the village on the main road. Buy a ticket from the little store opposite the trail head (5k) or use the donation box.

82. Sidi Tapa Waterfall
Small waterfall and swim spot popular with locals.
83. Air Terjun Yeh Mesee
Very tall waterfall in the mountains. Would need a guide and it’s a lengthy trip to find so only suitable for experienced hikers and outdoors people.
Nusa Penida Waterfalls
This island off the east coast of Bali has some beautiful beaches, cliffs, sights and two waterfalls.
84. Seganing spring
