Luna Beach Club
Firstly is arguably the most exciting venue to open this year, Luna Beach Club is in it’s own world. Even as you arrive, you hop on a buggy to enter the venue from the car park and drive between two futuristic almost alien-like heads. Then wander through an array of incredible unique and almost otherworldly architecture. Check out this video for more information and visuals.
The massive plot in Tabanan not only includes a large amphitheatre with a stage that would fit in at Tomorrowland, but a cave club, a beer garden with live music, an ice-cream shop, spa, meeting rooms and an elegant restaurant with a private dining experience. There are two pools, large pod style day beds and even giant tree house pods looking over the main stage so I can imagine some exciting things are coming at this venue. They’re already hosting some festivals! They’re also still building things like a Lighthouse that it set to open this summer, and what looks like a resort and shopping precinct is under construction.
Their Utopia Cave Club has pool parties four days a week and feels almost underground. You can access it via a waterslide from the main pool area and head down into the cave that then opens up to views of the beach. This area is restricted to adults only after 3pm and had the most fun vibe.
How to get to and from Luna Beach Club
Luna is about a 25 minute drive north of Canggu. There is a large car park if you drive a car or scooter there yourself and parking is free. You can also of course arrange transport with a taxi or ride share app like Grab or Gojek (cheaper and safer option as you won’t get ripped off and the apps are tracked).
Warning: there is little to no phone reception out there, so it is harder to order Gojeks and Grabs to take you back home. Either order one while you have wifi at the venue (before you get the buggy back to the car park) and hope for the best (if they cancel you won’t know as you’ll lose reception again) or bring cash to get a taxi as there are drivers waiting in the car park.
Entry fee to Luna Beach Club
As they only opened in March 2024, they are allowing free entry with no minimum spend but seating is limited to bean bags that are scattered around. If you want a day bed, minimum spend prices start at 1 million in low season for up to 4 people (250k per person) so this really isn’t bad at all.
You can reserve tables at the restaurant, some of the high tables and chairs at Utopia or benches at the Beer Garden with no minimum spend on their website.
Le Bajo
With rice terrace views, sandy floors, a lagoon style pool, comfy sofas and palm leaf umbrellas – Le Bajo is a tropical paradise of a day club. It’s only months old and already a favourite among locals, ex-pats and regulars. There is a restaurant and bar on site alongside the day club and Tickled Pink is also in the same stunning location. The vibe is pretty chill here and it’s family friendly.
How to get to and from Le Bajo
Located close to Canggu in Pererenan, there is free parking available or get a Grab/Gojek if you plan on drinking. Find the location here on Google Maps.
Entry fee to Le Bajo
There is no entry fee but to use the day beds during peak hours (12pm onwards) there is a minimum spend requirement of IDR 500,000. There are some seating options with no minimum spend which are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked in advance. Make a reservation here.
Lima Bay
Lastly, this Europe meets Barbie meets 80’s themed pool club in central Canggu. Sitting next to rice terraces with two pools, a swim up bar and a range of day beds options. The restaurant has a renowned chef so the food is incredible. Try their Sunday Brunch for bottomless drinks and a delicious set menu.
The vibe here can be pretty relaxed but if they have an event on like their Sundial Saturdays it can be more ambient and lively. Reserve your day beds here.
How to get to and from Lima Bay
Depending on where you are staying, you could walk, ride or get a ride on Grab/Gojek. There is limited free parking spaces out the front.
Entry fee to Lima Bay
No entry fee or minimum spend here. You can book your day beds in advance here or you can also try seeing what is available upon arrival. This venue rarely books up unless there is an event on.
