I decided to quit plastic cold turkey for a month to raise awareness of the excessive plastic use within our society and it’s lasting affects.
In October 2017 I had the exciting opportunity to try out a company I have been yearning to try for so long, G Adventures! Galavanting our way across China, I share where we went, what we did and exactly what I thought about it.
In February I took a little trip along the Great Ocean Road with my mum as a late birthday present. When booking accommodation, I stumbled upon this beautiful bed & breakfast and whilst most hotels impress you with the photos and leave you disappointed on arrival, this place was quite the opposite. The photo’s did not do it justice.
Croatia has to be one of my favorite countries to date. With a majority of the country being on the coast and with over 1000 islands, sailing seemed like the perfect way to see it. There are a heap of companies that do sailing adventure packages such as The Yacht Week, Busabout, Sunsail and plenty more. I however, chose to go with Sail Croatia, loving their itinerary and price.
So today I am traveling from the beautiful city of Madrid to Porto in Portugal… well at least I should be. I booked a semi-cheap flight (71.99 euros not including baggage) but as I arrived at the airport, the RyanAir baggage handling employees had gone on strike. Great. Surely there are ways around this interruption right? Wrong.
What a month I have had! 36 days on the amazing MSC Orchestra cruise ship, following the path of our Anzac soldiers 100 years on. I had extremely limited internet access on board, so this is my first post in over 5 weeks, but I’m back online and ready to share some amazing stories. Firstly I just wanted to do a quick review of the cruise as a whole and the MSC Orchestra ship.
Being the last remaining ancient wonders of the world, the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza have long been on my bucket list. I was very excited to arrive into Cairo, but sadly I was very let down. A combination of things, such as time, poor organizing and the poor care taking of the site made it a disappointing experience.
I had never been to Perth before this week. The only major city sitting on the Western coast of Australia and the capital of the state of Western Australia. I was eager to check out Perth before we embarked on our MSC Orchestra cruise, but with my family not being able to get any more time of work, we landed in Perth on the day of departure with no time to explore. We did, however, have a bit of time to check out Fremantle and it was an absolute delight.
Gone are the days of getting around with a printed map, eating at terrible restaurants and having to go to a travel agency to organize a holiday. Technology has come a long way in recent decades and one of the easiest ways to access all of these new tools is via apps on your smartphone. Cutting to the chase, here are some apps that will be saviors on your next trip.
I can’t be the only person to have this on my bucket list. I finally got to live one of my ultimate dreams, to see the Grand Canyon via helicopter. It was the best 21st present from my dad. My family came to the states to see me for my birthday and this was definitely a highlight. Watch my video on it…
