Traveling when your any age changes you, but there’s certain places you just have to experience when your young to get a completely unique experience. Find out 20 of the best places to visit in your twenties.
Europe is the ultimate destination for a lot of things, and you can bet partying is one of those. Other ‘top party cities’ lists will include the typical tourist spots. Paris, Rome, Amsterdam etc etc. But in my opinion, those big cities are not as crazy as they’re talked up to be. Of course they have potential, but most of the time these kinds of places are bursting with historical attractions as the highlight and the nightlife is either far from the city centre, very spread out throughout a large metropolitan or filled with a lot of big tourist traps. A lot of the time you really need to know where to go as a local. And in Amsterdam’s case, marijuana is everywhere and with a huge focus on sex, it isn’t exactly my idea of a party environment. I’ll cut to the chase and tell you what destinations are traveler friendly party spots. Places where it’s easy to find a good party and easy to meet other travelers.
Europe may not be large in size compared to other continents across the world, but it definitely is enormous in what it offers for travelers. If you have months of time to travel through Europe, then deciding where to go might not be too big of an issue. But if you’re one of the majority of us with a two or – if you’re lucky – three week vacation period, it can be tricky to decide where to visit. Here, I’ve tried to make that decision a little bit easier (but seriously, good luck!)
Having been to almost half of the countries within Europe (24 of the 51), I would say I have gotten to know the place fairly well. Add this with the fact that I’m a sucker for beautiful things that pull at the heart strings and you could only guess I have tried to source out the most romantic places this continent has to offer. And don’t think these locations are only destined for the loved up couples, because these places will make you fall in love in a different kind of way. And this love won’t steal all the covers and chew with its mouth open.
April 25th 2015 marks the 100 year anniversary of the treacherous day our Australian and New Zealand soldiers arrived in Gallipoli, Turkey to fight for our nations. Along with my father, his partner and my brother, we will embark on a 36 day cruise to commemorate the event. Leaving Perth, Australia, it follows the path our ANZACs took 100 years before us. Although I guarantee we will be doing it in a much more luxurious fashion.
Well I welcomed in the New Year in New York, which has always been a dream of mine! I didn’t watch the ball drop, which had always been on my bucket list, but there’s many reasons why. Having lived in New Jersey for the semester, everyone warned me against it. Standing in the cold for hours, not being able to leave (even for the bathroom) or you loose your spot, below freezing temperatures etc. Not what I had in mind. My 2014 has been filled with many adventures and 2015 is only going to bring me more.
